Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

I’m thinking of writing a book about recovery from spiritual abuse.

I have a title;

‘Is He Praying…or Preying? A Guide To Recovery From Spiritual Abuse’.

I know I could write this and it may help people.

So, we’ll see.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario

  1. I think you should. I love the title. I would buy it.

    • Thank you, it is a good title and I’ve researched and can’t find another book with that title.
      I think God enabled me to experience enough spiritual abuse for me to understand it and pain and betrayal it causes, but not enough to not break me.
      I know I am using it to help others and will in the future and a book may help too.
      If it is meant to happen, it will.

  2. Sounds like a good project.

    Are you familiar with the work of Dan Allender?

    He is a Christian counsellor who has a deep specialization in healing for adult victims of childhood sexual abuse and has written several books on that topic, as well as Christian growth and living through deep trauma and hurts.

    All his books (some co-written with other counsellors and biblical scholars) are thoroughly biblical with excellent theology but also are grounded in the deep reality of journeying with people (himself included) who have experienced deep trauma and abuses.

    If you’re interested I can point you to some of these.
