Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Jesus saying to me ‘if you love Me, with all that you are’. And I do.

This song reminds me of a point in my life when I was just realising that God didn’t hate me and Jesus was gently pulling me to Him.

I haven’t played this for months, but I remember thinking about Jesus when I played this song often.

Funny how so many non Christian songs, have been part of my journey and I’ve known they are words Jesus is using to help me understand just how much He loves me.

Jesus will use anything to help us, such is His love.

I’m an unusual girl to those around me, who hasn’t had your average journey to my Faith.

Lyrics

Songwriters: Angus Stone, Julia Natasha Stone

If I talk real slowly
If I try real hard
To make my point, dear
That you have my heart

Here I go
I’ll tell you what you already know
Here I go
I’ll tell you what you already know

If you love me with all of your heart
If you love me, I’ll make you a star in my universe
You’ll never have to go to work
You’ll spend everyday shining your light my way

If I talk real slowly
If I hold your hand
If you look real closely
My love you might understand

Here I go
I’ll tell you what you already know
Here I go
I’ll tell you what you already know

If you love me with all that you are
If you love me, I’ll make you a star in my universe
You’ll never have to go to work
You’ll spend everyday shining your light my way

Here I go
I’ll tell you what you already know
Here I go
I’ll tell you what you already know

If you love me with all that you are
If you love me I’ll make you a star in my universe
You’ll never have to go to work
You’ll spend everyday shining your light my way

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario
