Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Jesus is my role model.

My role model is Jesus.

The more I learn about Jesus, in the in-depth Bible study I am doing at Church, the more I understand how He was not a meek, mild, gentle person, who ignored sin.

Jesus was strong, courageous, He did things ‘immediately’, He did everything He knew the Jews wouldn’t like, but needed to be exposed, whilst trying to show them He did have the Authority of God. He healed people on the Sabbath, He challenged all their sinful religious beliefs that did not show God for who He is.

Jesus is my role model for strength, courage, integrity, knowing to do what is right, even when no-one else is doing it.

So many Christians, ignore sin and call that grace, or forgiveness.

So many Christians say ‘well we are all sinners and we are not to judge’. What a load of un-Biblical crap. That’s just an excuse to ignore it and is sin.

I believe if you are truly a Christian, then you are willing to be courageous and come out of your comfort zone. You will ‘need’ to be willing to stand up to people who are hurting others and stop it. You will ‘need’ to not be ignoring and enabling sin and hurt and turn a blind eye and wrongly calling that ‘grace’.

That isn’t grace, it’s gutless cowardice, of someone who has no clue who Jesus was/is.

Grace is not ignoring and condoning sins.

Grace is ‘what would Jesus do?’

Jesus got angry many times about sin and this is righteous anger. Jesus didn’t come here to be nice to everyone, He came to expose the religious and hypocritical ways that do not show God for who He is.

Jesus came to show us these religious and legalistic and cowardly ways, are not what we as followers of Christ, who know him will be.

Jesus didn’t force anyone to do follow Him and do as He asked, and God gave us free will and even He doesn’t take that from us.

But, Jesus exposed it, called the Jews out on it, told them they were wrong and why. He showed them who God is in Himself, but they were so hell bent on their religious ways, so hardened in their hearts, they wouldn’t listen.

This is typical of Christianity now.

The Bible is so deeply relevant to current society.

Few people have emotional and spiritual courage and it makes me wonder how many people who stand in Church’s, including Church leaders, are actually following Christ, are actually saved.

Christians who truly know Jesus, are concerned with sins, their own sins, other people’s sins.

Real Christians don’t just ignore sin and enable it, picking Bible verses to suit, changing God’s Word into something that suits their own earthly beliefs and lifestyle and needs.

Grace, forgiveness, love, three concepts truly not understood with any depth in Christianity, often twisted into what society or groups of people, or individuals want to believe.

My role model will always be Jesus.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario
