Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

This is why I know my path God is leading me down. Helping people to heal.

This was posted onto my Facebook support page for those healing from PTSD and complex trauma, from another insightful trauma and PTSD warrior..

“Thank you for supporting my page.

In the short time I have been following your page I have developed a tremendous respect for you. You truly have a gift that enables you to convey in words such great feeling and understanding of peoples suffering.

You speak with such wisdom and a gentleness of spirit that it is impossible not to feel like we know you and that you speak straight to our hearts.

Such insight, love and compassion can only be born from devastating pain and I am sorry that you had to endure so much.

God definitely has a great plan for you and out of your pain you will help bring healing to many.

Thank you for the blessings you bring to many, myself included. Xxx”

I don’t believe I am better than anyone, not even a drugged out homeless person on the street. I know the only difference between that person and me, are our life circumstances. I have made many bad choices of my own.

I am a sinner, one who is passionately trying not to be a sinner, turning away from sin and worldly idols, being continually aware of Jesus and what he requires, of the Holy Spirit’s prompting, filling myself up with God’s Word daily, especially and deeply thankful that my Lord has revealed Himself to me, rendering me speechless.

But, I do know this is my path, to help others, because I know deep suffering and I always knew I would use my abuse history, to help people, as I know what it is like to be alone and have no-one and be suffering.

I believe our pasts can be used for good when we are willing and to understand abuse of many kinds, understand many different types of abusers, is a massive amount of life experience I can use with empathy and compassion.

Over the past 6 months I have received countless messages and comments like this and that combined with the support and encouragement I receive from my professional support, my husband and an overwhelming need and passion to help people and serve and glorify God in the process, as these are gifts He endowed me with to sue wisely, is my path.

God is good, always faithful, endlessly gracious, unfathomably loving and perfect, as is His perfect Son, my Lord ❤

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario
