Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Irrational ‘issues’ on my Facebook page….so time for a reminder, and boundaries…

The internet is a place where cyber bullying, people arguing just to be provoking, other people’s issues and lack of boundaries, other people’s insensitivities, poor mental health, cognitive distortions, can all raise their ugly heads – and spill out and directed straight at the page admin, trying to help.

Often people don’t like some of what I post, but I am not in this for a popularity contest or to boost my ego – if I was – I would write exactly what most want to read – which is often unhealthy.

So, I wrote a reminder.

And if I loose half my likers, and keep half who really want to learn and heal – that’s absolutely great by me 🙂

What this page is about…

This page doesn’t just post popular platitudes and quotes…..to increase likers and remain popular….

This page validates, challenges, educates and raises awareness, of many aspects of abuse….

– Different types of abuse and their affects

– Different types of abusers and why they do what they do

– Different types of mental health disorders, caused by abuse

– Different types of mental health disorders, abusers can have

– Different types of counselling techniques

– Many symptoms of PTSD, and how to manage them

– Extensive insight into complex trauma

– Other necessary info like cognitive distortions, self care, boundaries, self esteem etc.

My info is up to date and accurate – because I do my research, and don’t use old, out of date info.

I am constantly aware of any changes to mental health, diagnostic criterion, neuroscience research and constantly educating myself more and more.

I believe, all this is needed to help in healing and this page is about ‘Healing’. It’s not about increasing likers, because if that mattered to me, I would just churn out quotes I know will be liked.

It isn’t about staying stuck, or staying a victim, or validating unhealthy views, or arguing about out of date info.

That’s not what I want for anyone here, because I care. That’s why I am so honest about my own journey, share so much and created a Website etc – for others.

Sometimes, the posts are not popular, but, the truth sometimes hurts, and they help those who need them. I am not here to just placate people, that would be wasting my time.

I do what I do here, because I am passionate about my work, and about healing.

And I appreciate support in return and thank all those who do support.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario
