Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Why is it so hard for so many Christians to understand – there is no evil, in God.

I hear and read things all the time about God – which basically say God is evil.

E.g. God wants vengeance, God will make people who don’t live up to His standards burn in hell. God doesn’t heal you if you haven’t prayed enough, God sent Jesus purely to thrash Him for our sins….the list is endless.

How hard is it to understand – this is all wrong.

The is NO evil in God.

God is pure perfect love.

God is not a God that wants vengeance. He loves us all.

God does not want us to burn in hell. Eternal separation from God, is a persons choice. Not what God wants, but He won’t force us. People’s own dark destiny, is their own choice – not what God has chosen.

God has a plan for us, that is NOT based upon our prayers being perfect. If he doesn’t heal us fully – there is a reason, and it is not because we haven’t prayed to His satisfaction. He does NOT leave us suffering because we haven’t been a ‘good enough’ Christian. He is NOT some narcissistic God who lets people suffer for His own ego needs.

Jesus – who is God in human form, did not come just to die for our sins at all. Jesus died on the cross, to stand up to all evil, for a cosmological deliverance from evil, for the entire world. And yes, with that our sins. But for far more than just our sins.

Come on, it isn’t that hard to work out.

Is it???

But, a large % of Christians don’t get this at all.

God is pure perfect love.

There is NO evil in God.

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario

  1. Amen! …and Jesus being God, experienced all of what we experience…betrayal, joy, physical pain, emotional pain…all of it. That hit me hard during recovery from abuse-Jesus became real to me…experienced my faith and beliefs differently after that connection was made…
