Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

I tried to be ‘normal’ once, worst 2 minutes of my life..!

I see what is considered ‘normal’ within the society I reside – and I absolutely do not want to be normal.

I do not wish to be shallow, image obsessed, materialistic, egocentric, apathetic, self serving, money/house/car/status obsessed, lacking in depth and empathy, lying to myself, wearing a mask etc.

And I am thankful, I am not.

Sounds harsh?

This is from considerable observation of so many people I have known in life, including Christians.

What they also do not realise, is this is poor mental health.

Far worse, than anything I am dealing with.

They just have no self insight, no societal insight, no realisation of how unhealthy society is – which is why it is poor mental health.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario

  1. I agree totally!!Being me has earned me such names as “Flake” “bleeding heart” “weak” “An easy mark” “stupid” and by my ex, some names I don’t care to repeat. the people who called me those names were more concerned with what the neighbors think, getting more and better, judge others and tsk tsking at others mistakes or misfortune. Churches where what you drive and wear are more important than the person you are.
No thank you! If being a caring, honest, forgiving, nonjudgmental person makes me a flake in some people’s eyes then I will be a flake with pride.
