Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Nothing offends me more, than vulnerable people targeted for abuse, in the name of God.

I will never be apathetic about this.

I don’t care what people think of me, about this either.

Jesus was not apathetic about abuse, or God being used as the excuse, and He got angry.

He is my role model, no-one else.

I am a Christian, wanting to be more like Jesus, not trying to be more like ‘Christians’ – who are mostly just church people.

I know that, but sadly most church people don’t.

If church people want to be apathetic, well that’s their sin and shame to deal with, not mine.

And they can harp about grace, their cheap grace all they like, cheap grace is sin too. Cheap grace is for non Christians. For people who have no spiritual integrity.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario

  1. I like how you call it “cheap grace” because that’s what it is. All these ‘Christians’ thinking themselves so high and mighty because they go to church – yet belt their own flesh and blood. Sickening.

I’m a non-practising Catholic so I know what you mean about abuse in the Church. They all cover it up.

    • It is cheap grace – because they ignore the harm, require no consequences to it. That isn’t grace.
The corporal punishment is sociopathic abuse, condoned, enabled, encouraged.
They are hypocrites, hiding behind their twisted version of the Bible.
When they don’t even know how to read the Bible.

  2. True. “Evil triumphs when good men do nothing”. Can’t remember who said that but a lot of people are just doing nothing whilst the evil ones get away with it.
