Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

There comes a point, when you just need to let go of your old life.

I finally give up and accept that part of my life is over and move on.

It’s easier to just burn the bridge, grieve and get over it.

And don’t look back and focus on the future.

It’s feels very sad and painful now, but it will probably be a big part of my healing, to move past all that represented the old me, that was never really who I am.

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario

  1. Mourning the loss of our past is an important step in the process. Thankfully, it eventually gives way to being able to embrace a new future, radically different from what we had imagined it would be, but a good future nonetheless. May our Lord continue to hold your hand through this long, dark night.
