Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

My Website, Blog, are a deep reflection of who I am.

My Website and Blog have been described as many things, all of which are a reflection of who I am, because they are my writing, from my heart. They are both continuing to evolve, grow, expand and this is a reflection of me too.

I have had mental health professionals describe them as;

Rare, unique, quality, passionate, engaged,

practical, clear, insightful, real, raw,

inspirational, encouraging, needed, vital,

wonderful, honest, educated, intelligent,

knowledgeable, wisdom, compassionate,

courageous, kindness, hopeful and

unusual depth of understanding

of a new and complex

field of psychology.

These are all a reflection of who I am. Because everything I author, write, express, is me. From my heart and soul.

These messages, are very different, to all the ones I received from all those who have abused me in my life.

I am learning to accept these positive messages, and for these to become my self esteem, my self worth.

Abusive people’s opinions, are wrong and only ever a reflection of who ‘they ‘are. But, their abuse has been burned into my core, and I am still trying to heal these wounds.

I will hold on to these positive aspects of who I am, whilst also acknowledging my areas of growth required, because I am honest, insightful and courageous enough to know, I have areas I need to work on, to heal, to develop.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario
