Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

I conclude……humanity is bizarre.

bizarre

Bizarre…..is now my favourite word.

I think the healthiest & most insightful conclusion I have come to, in all the decades of studying humanity, plus all I have learned over the last few years…..

Is that people are bizarre.

We are all bizarre.

Sure, some have more bizarreness than others…

And some have more insight and/or honesty into their own bizarreness, than others…

And the ones who believe they are not bizarre at all, are by far – the most bizarre.

But….we are indeed….all bizarre.

Just on varying levels of bizarreness and varying levels of self awareness of bizarreness.

And the more aware and awakened you are to all this bizarreness, the more bizarre you seem to those who can’t see their own bizarreness.

I guess this follows Carl Jung’s quote “Show me a sane man, and I will cure him for you.”

And, I have always known this….always seen this bizarreness…..always known people lack insight into their bizarreness.

Always felt surrounded by bizarreness.

Sometimes, I feel like I am hovering above the earth, looking down on all this bizarreness….bewildered and confused at all I see, that many others don’t seem to be aware of.

Now I get it……it is humanity….and humanity……is bizarre.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario
