Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Some humour that made me giggle….. gotta laugh when you can :)

Since going on a combo of meds over the last 3 years, to help manage my severe PTSD/Complex PTSD symptoms….I’ve put on weight. Two of the meds were ones most people gain weight with, and since being medication free for about 9 months now…… I still haven’t lost the weight. I would like to lose about 5 kilo’s, but it won’t shift. And now I have physical health issues and pain, hindering exercise.

So this amused me…. 🙂

With some things, it is appropriate to find a little humour. And I do 🙂

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario

  1. I’ve missed your emails! I’ve learned so much and gained a lot of courage to face my own cptsd memories. I love the humor! Would love to see more of it, as it is really needed for the strength to face the feelings. Do you have anything you can share on what it means to process your emotions and how to do it, so I don’t just repress them again? Thank you so much! Would like a reply. I’m in a frozen state of being, unable to motivate myself.
