A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Seeing the souls of people, not their outer appearance.

souls

I’m not remotely interested in the outer shell of a person. I am only interested in the heart and soul of a person. And I search for the inner person. My life has taught me well, how little the outer appearance means and how deceptive it can be.

There are a lot of people who would be very shocked, if they saw their souls in the mirror, instead of their outer appearance reflected.

Society focusses far too much on outer appearance, outer beauty, image etc.

I don’t.

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle.

  1. Amen!! Great reminder to all. So much deception in this world but what is truly within each person is also what God sees. May eyes be opened!!
