Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

I validate how painful it is, to grieve a stolen childhood, filled with severe ongoing abuse, fear and neglect.

Pete Walker explains grieving childhood complex trauma, so well. Pete will always be a special person in my life, as he voiced words I needed to hear and had never heard from anyone else. I am so thankful he gave me permission to use his work, to help reach others.

Grieving childhood complex trauma, is a lifelong journey.

When we are ready (that will be different for everyone), we can learn to manage it better, and learn how to have increasing joy in our lives. Which takes support, a lot of hard work and a willingness to do all that is needed. Healing and recovery, are hard work. I validate this.

But, that hole in our soul, where decent family were meant to be, never goes away. There is nothing that can fill that void. It is needed empathy to understand this.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario
