Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Deeper conversations, are a blessing.

People with self insight and a capacity for deeper thinking, are not common. So when I have conversations with someone who does have these, it is a blessing and very refreshing.

I have realised that some people who have been through childhood trauma and have hyper vigilance, but not narcissism, can sometimes become those insightful, deeper thinking, discerning people who choose to reflect, learn and grow.

Had coffee and a chat with a lovely friend today, who has been through childhood trauma and has a narcissistic mother, and it is always interesting talking with her. She is very much on the journey of self insight, growth and greater discernment. And it is refreshing, to talk with someone on this journey.

It is interesting how much we have in common, and how we have similar views about social media, society’s shallow belief about external success, how we pick up  on people’s patterns, and don’t wish to be involved or enable poor behaviours in others, or ourselves.

It is always a fascinating, deeper conversation and I really value her.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario
