5 (of many) things we need to stop saying.

I could written this list myself, and why these platitudes are unwise and do not apply to all situations and all people.

These types of platitudes, simply show to me, a very shallow depth of thinking capacity and no wisdom.

They also covertly/unknowingly, shame people. And I see these shaming quotes/platitudes frequently.

I have come to realise, cognitive development and the capacity to know when a thought pattern is not wise, is not common. Because platitudes and cognitive distortions, are common. But the capacity to see them and discern them to be unwise, is uncommon. Continue reading
