Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

A song that reminds me of my 20’s.

I discussed this song at counselling yesterday, and it’s significance to me. It reflects my 20’s.

I always knew there was more. Even though I had no idea what it was.

My entire 20’s was about suppressing the pain caused by the first 20 years of my life.

Lana Del Rey is not politically correct and the feminists don’t like her. But, she expresses much that I relate to.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle.

  1. I find I really like Lana Del Rey also. She’s had a large number of songs that have really spoken to me. Her new album is also growing on me. The one that hooked me on her music was “Ride”, expecially the 10 minute version.

I think the main reason she isn’t liked by the PC crowd is she takes on non-pc topics in unusual ways.

    • Lana Del Rey’s music, lyrics and video’s often resonate deeply with me. Ride – extended version, I relate to as well.
I think she is very honest in the way she writes, and she writes about taboo subjects, like suicide, men, father issues etc. She doesn’t care if it PC or not.
She writes about real issues and experiences many go through.
      I love her music.
