I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle.

  1. So true, I remember back to the mid 90s when I was with a group of parents who had all lost sons to suicide in Sydney Australia. I will always remember when one of the mothers told us “That when you are at your lowest point just to go shopping or hang out the washing can be a major achievement.” It has been a source of inspiration ever since. It also humbled me and reminded that this world of ours continues to spin because every day there are millions of superhuman achievements that never get shared but I know are happening. Much love, Jack
