Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Excellent video exposing how wrong victim blaming is

Replace the word ‘rape’ with ‘murder’ and see how absurd victim blaming and victim shaming is.

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle.

  1. I loved that video. What makes me sad/angry is that there are people who STILL won’t get it no matter how many metaphors you use or ways you explain it. It’s good to know there are some supports out there. I’ve never experienced rape (thank goodness), but emotional abuse and gaslighting and victim blaming for being “offended” or hurt *rolls eyes* is something I can definitely attest to. The latter just happened yesterday. Some people will never understand.

  2. No recent blogs from you – are you OK?

    • Thank you for your concern, very kind and thoughtful of you.
I am okay. I am posting less on social media and here on my blog, to try and address my self care and gain more balance in my life.
Self care, boundaries and balance are still an ongoing process for me, as it can be for many of us.
      Much love, Lilly❤
