Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Self Care For Abuse Survivors – During US Presidential Debates/Campaigns ~ Lilly Hope Lucario

❤ Self Care Is Vital❤

In light of what is happening in the US Presidential debates, please know it is okay to switch it off, and not expose yourself to anything triggering and upsetting to watch.

The levels of abusive behaviours and attitudes, plus all the condoning, rationalising, minimizing, trivialising, projecting, deflecting etc behaviours, is beyond terrible and very indicative of abusive tactics displayed by narcissists/sociopaths/psychopaths and their enablers.

This can be very triggering for those who have endured sexual, emotional, mental, psychological abuse and have been further traumatised by people who condoned, minimized, trivialised (etc) the abuse.

Self care is vital when dealing with severe PTSD and Complex PTSD and healing from abuse – especially if the symptoms are not well managed.

It is okay and may be wise to turn the news and coverage off.

We do not need to subject ourselves to flashbacks, intrusive memories, emotional flashbacks etc – because of all this heinous behaviour and attitudes being displayed.

****And please note – this post is ‘not’ to debate politics – but only for self care needs due to being abuse survivors.

Much love,

Lilly Hope Lucario

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle.

  1. There are great concentrations of Cluster B types in positions of power, for power attracts people like that.
