Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario

  1. Thank you for sharing these.

A family member committed suicide last summer and it tore the family apart. Many felt what our family member did was selfish. I actually thought it was quite the opposite. They were in a great deal of emotional pain and had suffered unending abuse. Being a sensitive soul, they just couldn’t take it anymore. Try as hard as they did to make life better, they were continually surrounded by trauma, abuse and hatred whilst being a soul who longed for peace and harmony.

I often think of what Jiddu Krishnamurti said: “It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society.”

    Peace!
