Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

I Wouldn’t Be Here Now – If It Weren’t For My Online Community & The Kindness Of Strangers

I’ve thanked my Facebook community and I want to acknowledge this here. If it weren’t for the kindness of people online, I would not be here.

This was my post on Facebook.

This is a message from me…. to all who have been so supportive and compassionate to me, particularly over the last few months when I have been going through really hard stuff.

You are incredibly wonderful people – and I want you to know how thankful and grateful I am to each one of you.

You have really helped me and provided comfort at times when I have wanted to give up and have been suicidal.

And I have come to see, the best people in life – are those who help others who are suffering, even in the midst of their own issues.

The quote that ‘sometimes you are a light for others in the darkness, and sometimes others are the light for you’ …. is so true.

Thank you, much love and gratitude,

Author: Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I am a survivor of complex and multiple trauma and abuse, who at the age of 40, began my healing journey. I am using my journey to recovery and healing, to help others, to help survivors feel less alone, validated, encouraged and to enable others to understand themselves more. Complex trauma, particularly from severe, prolonged childhood abuse, is profoundly life changing. Complex trauma produces complex adults. The journey to recovery is a painful, often lonely, emotional daily challenge and it is my aim to encourage others in their daily battle. ~ Lilly Hope Lucario

  1. You come to my mind so many times during the day, always say a prayer for you. I ache for all the suffering you have endured and I am so concerned about your heath. You have been such a blessing to myself & so many other wounded hearts. Take really good care of your beautiful self.

  2. It’s awesome how strangers are there for us and love us. I know that that support has helped me to live my life!! Often, I do not believe their warmth but they/you do not go away.
