Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Article/Blog Submissions for my Website – Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

I have received numerous requests to have articles and blogs published on my Website, both from professionals and survivors.

So, I am setting this up, as a trial, to see how this may further help viewers of the Website.

Apparently, I could start charging for advertising on my Website

I increasingly have organisations, asking to be included on my Website. I have concerns with this, because if I do not personally know the organisation e.g. a drug rehab clinic, then I don’t know the quality of the clinic, or whether I should be recommending it.

But, I have been advised that I could charge people to advertise on my Website, and have a disclaimer that this is not a personal recommendation. I also would need to state, that the advertising costs, then help me with the costs of running my Website – which currently – I am paying for.

I would also need to set up a Paypal account specifically for this, and keep track of payments. So I would need to decide if this would be a monthly charge, or a once per year charge…

So, I’m mulling this over, as my Website is becoming more and more popular. Continue reading

Updated my recommended resources list & reviews page.

My website @ http://www.healingfromcomplextraumaandptsd.com/ is viewed by 100’s of people a day & is recommended and supported by many in the trauma related mental health field.

I am often updating it.

Today, I updated the recommended resources list, after seeking some advice from some therapists.

This is @ http://www.healingfromcomplextraumaandptsd.com/#!book-recommedationsresources/cnqp

And I updated my reviews/feedback page, because the page has so much info, I could not fit any more on it……… so I made a slideshow for many – which helped with the page size.

My reviews page is @ http://www.healingfromcomplextraumaandptsd.com/#!reviews-feedback/c1uq6 Continue reading

Great feedback, shows I am on the right track.

I care whether my website and all I write and share, helps people in an appropriate healthy, productive way. This includes whether it is real, validating, informative, awareness raising, educational etc.

When I have feedback – I think about the type of feedback. I’m not interested in feedback that says people think I’m great/amazing etc. I’m not in this, to stroke my ego. If I was, I wouldn’t be so controversial. I don’t say what I think people want to hear. I say what people need to hear, that will help them in their journey.

This feedback I received today, shows I am achieving what I aimed for

‘A comprehensive website, where people can gain

considerable info, from one site’.

This is why I collated info from different sources, different trauma experts. To collate relevant info, in one place. Continue reading

My new LOGO to tie all my different media/sites outlets together :)

I wanted something simple that would appeal to all.

And it’s my favourite two colours – aqua/turquoise and purple.

It is amazing that the PTSD awareness support ribbon, is this turquoise colour, so that worked out well.

Now everything is being changed to add this 🙂

It looks good on the Website @ http://www.healingfromcomplextraumaandptsd.com/

Updated my Website, to look more colour friendly & user friendly.

As well as updating this blog, my Website continues to develop and expand. I have changed the colours, from a black background, and added my two favourite colours of purple and aqua.

I have spent hours last night and this morning – changing it all, adding features to make it more user friendly and link all the different social media etc and hopefully made it more professional in appearance.

Not bad for a girl who is absolutely crap with techie stuff.

I had absolutely no idea what I was doing when I decided to set my Website up a year ago, and now it is commended and recommended by professionals and is helping many people 🙂

Next stage on my ongoing plan, get a LOGO and changed the header pictures, to all match – Website, this Blog, Facebook, Twitter etc.

I want to also add many pages, including info on therapy types, more insight into re-experiencing symptoms, more book recommendations…and more.

But, one step at a time. The rate I manage to work our techie stuff…it has to be slow! 🙂

Maybe there is a direct link between emotional courage/integrity & spiritual courage/integrity.

I get told all the time how much courage I have. And even though I have spent my life feeling weak, I do see that due to the life I have endured, I am strong.

I see I have needed to develop deeper levels of courage and strength, to survive it all, that many people will never need.

I am beginning to wonder if people who I see clearly fail to have spiritual integrity/courage, don’t have this, due to not ever having to need it to survive?

Courage only grows, when needed.

It’s like developing muscles. You only grow muscles, when you exercise them, and it hurts, because if it doesn’t hurt – you are not pushing yourself hard enough. You see these body builders in the gym – and they put themselves through pain to grow their huge muscles. You can see the strain/pain in their bodies and in their faces. The more they do this, the more pain they go through – the bigger the muscles get. And courage is like this too.

Courage only comes from deep adversity, challenges and hardship, and I believe courage can be born from the fires we have to walk through. So, it’s much easier to walk through just a few little fires in life, than endure and survive really massive ongoing, raging, burning fires which test the person and grow the person far more – if they are able/willing.

Not everyone who goes through a test of spiritual integrity and courage will pass, most will choose the path of least resistance and comfort – which is not the path required. And many others will condone this. They will pick and choose Bible verses to suit, selective Bible verse abuse being common. Continue reading

Society must stop enabling/excusing abusers, based on mental health.

Abuse is increasing, in all forms.

A huge % of abuse is based on these disorders and other mental health disorders.

Mental health disorders are increasing.

Society must stop allowing mental health to be used as an excuse for abusers, to abuse.

Society needs educating about personality disorders, what the signs are, and must recognise these disorders more and in particular how they mostly cannot be treated successfully.

Society MUST reduce abuse and not allow it to continue increasing.
