Healing From Complex Trauma & PTSD/CPTSD

A journey to healing from complex trauma.

Current reading…. It’s Not You, It’s What Happened to You: Complex Trauma and Treatment – Christine Courtois

it's not you

I have heard Christine Courtois’s work is worth reading, and I am always wanting to keep learning and find out more about complex trauma, and how to heal.

Should this be a book I find helpful, it will go on my book recommendation list 🙂

Christine’s website is @ http://www.drchriscourtois.com/

I went to counselling, stood up for myself & expressed what I know, see & feel.

I was unsure whether to attend counselling any further. As I have written in previous blogs. But, I went, expressed what I think, feel and know, particularly with regards to shame. It was all validated as correct, appropriate and an apology offered.

I am still processing the whole conversation, which often takes me days, as I think and digest it fully.

I am glad to have been validated about ‘shame shifting’ and how wrong it is, and the shame of abuse is entirely the abusers. And victims of abuse should not be shamed further.

Must get my book finished & published. Especially as I have so much support from professionals.

I’m aware, I have a lot of support from professionals, in the trauma / mental health / PTSD field.

I am aware of the need for more info about Complex Trauma & Complex PTSD to be out there, to validate other survivors, provide info and education from a sufferer perspective.

And I am a multiple complex trauma survivor, with much experience of different types of complex trauma and trauma which includes every type of abuse. And complex trauma is still a relatively new field of psychology and I have had many professionals confirm they have learned from my blog and website, to better help their clients. That is really important and significant. Continue reading

My Complex Trauma, PTSD & Complex PTSD Website stats, are increasing continually :)

My Website @ http://www.healingfromcomplextraumaandptsd.com/ is continually increasing in views.

Which is great – especially for those who do not have access to therapy. Not everyone has access to therapy, or has access to quality trauma focussed therapy.

There’s stacks of info, including a lot of info from professionals in the field. There’s coping strategies to manage symptoms and heaps of info about symptoms, therapy types, resources, book recommendations etc.

It’s my gift to anyone who may need it.

And it helps that it is recommended by professionals in the field, as that helps viewers to know the info is quality info.

These are really important for PTSD, Complex PTSD and trauma survivors to be aware of. It is only through understanding ourselves, we can begin to heal.
